Development Coach - Dominican Republic Academy

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Operate and support baseball technology used in daily training and games, including setup, troubleshooting, and data collection.  

• Monitor data quality and resolve collection or reporting issues to ensure players and staff receive accurate, timely information.  

• Translate information from Baseball Analytics into clear takeaways that support player plans and daily training.  

• Collaborate with coaches and coordinators to monitor progress toward individual development goals and organizational key performance indicators.   

• Prepare and maintain player development reports, video, and other materials.  

• Support on-field training and instruction alongside Academy coaches.  

• Conduct ad hoc research and analysis to support Player Development initiatives.  

COMPETENCIES: • Ability to interpret performance information and communicate clear, practical takeaways verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish.  

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing daily priorities.  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software and troubleshoot technology.  

• Curiosity about player development, openness to feedback, and interest in developing coaching skills.  

• Ability to build trust with players and collaborate with staff from different backgrounds.  

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: • Currently based in, or willing to relocate to, the Dominican Republic.  

• Experience with baseball tracking systems, high-speed video, or other player development technology, including the following: 

• TrackMan

• KinaTrax  

• Blast Motion

• Edgertronic  

• Previous coaching, playing, video, or sports performance experience.  

• Familiarity with baseball performance metrics and individual player development plans.  

• Experience with SQL, R, or Python.
