Privacy

A short page, because there is very little to describe. This site has no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no analytics.

Published

This describes the site as it is currently built. If any of it changes, this page changes first, and the change will be dated.

What the calculators do with your numbers

Nothing leaves your browser. The calculators are ordinary JavaScript running on the page you are already looking at. When you type a number, the arithmetic happens on your device and the result is displayed. No request is made, nothing is written to storage, and nothing is logged.

Closing the tab discards everything you entered. There is no history to clear, because none is kept.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

Analytics and third-party scripts

There are currently no analytics on this site, and no third-party scripts of any kind — no tag managers, no advertising pixels, no embedded widgets, no social buttons.

Fonts are served from this site’s own domain rather than a font provider, so simply loading a page does not disclose your visit to a third party.

If privacy-respecting analytics are added later, this page will say exactly what is measured, and the measurement will be limited to understanding which pages are useful.

Server logs

Like any website, this one is served by a host that may keep standard technical request logs — the kind of operational record needed to serve a page and defend against abuse. That is a function of hosting rather than a choice to collect data about you, and no such records are used to build a profile of any visitor.

Research data

Nothing you type into a tool becomes research data. This is worth stating explicitly because the opposite is common: a free calculator quietly becomes a data collection instrument, and its users become a “study” they never agreed to join.

If Jobsearch.ing ever collects data from readers, it will be through a separate, clearly labelled process with explicit consent covering what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to have it deleted. Consent to that would never be implied by using a calculator. The research standards set out the conditions in full.

Links to other sites

Source citations link to other publishers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this page does not cover and this publication does not control.

Children

This site is intended for adults navigating the job market. It does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Changes

Any change to what this site collects will be reflected here and dated. Given the direction of travel — no accounts, no tracking, no data collection — changes should be rare.
