Terms of Use
What this site is, what it is not, and the limits of what it can reasonably be relied on for.
Published
What this site is
Jobsearch.ing is an independent publication about job searching, founded and published by Maid Dizdarevic. It publishes editorial content, reference data, and free interactive tools. Everything on it is provided for general information.
These terms describe the basis on which that material is published. They are written to be accurate about the site as it currently exists rather than to resemble a complete commercial agreement.
Not professional advice
Nothing here is legal, financial, tax, immigration, medical, or employment advice, and nothing here creates a professional or advisory relationship. Job searches are individual: the right decision depends on circumstances this site cannot see.
Where a decision carries real consequences — a contract, a severance agreement, a visa, a relocation — consult someone qualified to advise on your specific situation.
No guarantee of outcomes
Nothing on this site is a promise about employment outcomes. Hiring depends on market conditions, employer decisions, competition, and chance. Following anything published here may not produce an interview, an offer, or a job.
The tools
The calculators perform arithmetic on numbers you supply. Their outputs are mathematical results, not predictions, forecasts, or assessments of your prospects, and they carry no benchmark comparison. Each tool publishes its formula and its limitations; those are part of understanding the output.
They are provided as they are, without warranty. If a calculation appears wrong, it is worth reporting — the formulae are published precisely so they can be checked.
Accuracy and updates
Considerable care goes into sourcing, and the standards are set out in the methodology and editorial policy. Even so, content may become outdated, sources may be superseded, and errors may occur. Nothing here is warranted to be complete or current, and corrections are made as described in the editorial policy.
External links
This site links to external sources so claims can be checked. Those sites are not controlled by this publication, and linking to a source is not an endorsement of the organisation that published it.
Content and reuse
Written content, data presentations, and code on this site belong to their author. Quoting a passage or a figure with clear attribution and a link is welcome and encouraged — the point of publishing this material is for it to be cited.
Republishing pages in full, or reproducing this site’s content at scale, is not permitted without permission. No formal licence has been set out yet; until one is, treat quoting with attribution as welcome and wholesale reproduction as not.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, circumvent its operation, or use automated means to place a burden on it that interferes with other readers.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, this publication is not liable for losses arising from reliance on its content or tools. Use your own judgement, particularly for decisions with financial or contractual consequences.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date above reflects when it last changed.
