What the employer wrote

Accountabilities • Design, develop, and maintain reusable performance-testing frameworks using JMeter for load, stress, endurance, and spike testing.

• Build performance test scripts for complex web applications, including dynamic elements, object selections, lookups, drill-downs, child-record views, pop-ups, and multi-window workflows.

• Simulate concurrent-user scenarios and measure key performance indicators such as response time, throughput, error rates, and resource utilization.

• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to define performance requirements, establish test scenarios, and identify optimization opportunities.

• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and support automated execution through tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

• Implement effective test-data management, dynamic-value correlation, parameterization, error handling, logging, and reporting practices.

• Analyze performance results and application behavior to identify bottlenecks, scalability constraints, and areas requiring optimization.

• Apply monitoring and profiling techniques across Java-based applications, including JVM performance analysis and heap utilization.

• Mentor junior performance engineers, conduct script and framework reviews, and contribute to continuous improvements in performance-testing processes.

• Evaluate emerging performance-testing technologies and recommend improvements to tools, frameworks, and testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience in performance testing and performance engineering.

• Strong practical expertise with Selenium and LoadRunner, along with hands-on experience developing performance-testing solutions using JMeter.

• Strong Java programming skills and the ability to create maintainable, scalable test scripts and automation components.

• Solid understanding of performance engineering concepts and metrics, including latency, throughput, error rates, concurrency, resource utilization, and scalability.

• Experience with monitoring and profiling tools such as PerfMon and Grafana, with knowledge of JVM tuning and heap analysis.

• Familiarity with additional performance-testing tools such as Gatling or NeoLoad for comparative or hybrid testing.

• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps and version control using Git.

• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect-management tools such as JIRA.

• Strong understanding of API performance testing using approaches such as JMeter HTTP samplers or RestAssured is preferred.

• Experience with enterprise applications such as IBM MREF/TRIRIGA, Maximo Application Suite, IWMS, asset-management, facilities-management, or real-estate platforms is an advantage.

• Familiarity with application-performance monitoring solutions such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or New Relic is desirable.

• Performance-testing certifications, such as ISTQB Performance Testing Specialist, or relevant JMeter training are a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, clear communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

• Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues and contribute to broader performance-engineering strategy.

Benefits

• Fully remote, full-time work opportunity in India.

• Opportunity to work on complex enterprise applications and large-scale performance challenges.

• Hands-on exposure to performance engineering, automation, CI/CD, monitoring, and enterprise technology platforms.

• Opportunities to mentor junior engineers and influence performance-testing strategy.

• Collaborative environment involving development, QA, product, and technical teams.

• Exposure to emerging technologies and modern performance-testing practices.

• Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
