Accountabilities • Lead a 50+ person Talent Engineering organization comprising engineers and engineering managers across multiple customer-facing products and teams.

• Set engineering direction and make thoughtful investment tradeoffs across customer needs, product priorities, technical initiatives, and available resources.

• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering managers and senior leaders, raising the bar for leadership effectiveness, execution, accountability, and organizational health.

• Build and maintain a culture focused on high-quality execution, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and strong customer outcomes.

• Ensure products deliver reliable, scalable, and intuitive experiences for customers globally while supporting an ambitious pace of product development.

• Partner closely with Product and Design leadership to define, prioritize, and execute product strategies and roadmaps centered on measurable customer outcomes.

• Represent the engineering organization in conversations with key prospects and customers, bringing technical expertise and credibility to important engagements.

• Collaborate with broader engineering leadership to shape department-wide strategy, priorities, operating practices, and organizational goals.

• Scale the systems, processes, and organizational structures that enable multiple engineering teams to plan effectively, deliver reliably, and learn rapidly.

• Maintain a strong focus on quality, trust, reliability, and scalability across the engineering portfolio.

• Evaluate opportunities to incorporate AI into products and engineering practices to create new capabilities and improve how organizations develop their people.

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering management experience, including at least 5 years leading an engineering organization made up of multiple teams and multiple layers of leadership.

• Demonstrated experience managing engineering investment across a portfolio of products and making effective prioritization decisions when resources are constrained.

• Proven track record of delivering high-quality products where reliability, scalability, trust, and customer experience are critical to success.

• Strong organizational leadership capabilities with a high degree of autonomy, ownership, accountability, and sound judgment.

• Demonstrated ability to develop engineering leaders at multiple levels, including engineering managers and senior individual contributors.

• Strong product instincts and the ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Design, Engineering, and broader company leadership.

• Excellent communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence strategic decisions across diverse senior stakeholders.

• Experience scaling engineering organizations, operating models, processes, and systems as companies and product portfolios grow.

• Ability to balance short-term execution with long-term organizational and technical strategy.

• Strong customer orientation and confidence representing an engineering organization in prospect and customer conversations.

• Genuine curiosity about AI and its potential to transform talent management, employee development, and organizational performance.

• Candidates must be located in British Columbia or Ontario, Canada , as these are the provinces currently eligible for employment for this position.
