ABOUT THE ROLE
This is the execution-focused half of a Forward Deployed Engineering function at an early-stage fintech company building digital identity and onboarding infrastructure. You are the technical bridge between customers and the product team, owning implementation success from day one and feeding real-world customer signals back into how the product evolves.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work directly with customers to scope requirements early and set implementations up for long-term success.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for integrations, onboarding, and product rollouts.
- Troubleshoot integration issues in production environments and guide customers toward scalable solutions.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to identify and resolve friction in implementation flows.
- Improve documentation, tooling, and internal processes to make future implementations faster and smoother.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 4 to 5 or more years of relevant experience in field engineering, solutions engineering, technical implementation, or similar customer-facing technical roles.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and resolving integration issues in production environments.
- Proficiency with modern web stacks and APIs, including REST, webhooks, or event-driven architectures.
- Production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Comfort with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, including data modeling for integrations.
- Experience scoping technical requirements and designing implementation approaches collaboratively with customers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing customer-facing documentation and API guides.
- Domain expertise in KYB, KYC, AML, regulated onboarding, or a closely related compliance area is the strongest signal for this role.
- A background as a Product Owner or Manager in fintech who ran onboarding or compliance workflows is also actively considered.
- Familiarity with containerization tools, message queues, or cloud platforms is a plus.
- Must be available to work within European timezones.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: EUR 93,000 to EUR 146,000, based on level. The company uses a published leveling system with no individual salary negotiations. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Fully remote within European timezones. Being based in or near Amsterdam is a strong plus. The full team meets in person every six weeks.
