Accounting Manager (Controllership Focus)

We are looking for a high-performing Accountant with strong technical accounting fundamentals and a finance transformation mindset. Beyond core accounting and reporting, you will help transform Finance through AI, automation, data and technology, improving efficiency, controls, scalability and decision-making. Experience in consulting, finance transformation or technology-enabled finance, particularly within FinTech or digital assets, is highly valued.

Responsibilities • Manage financial and management reporting, including cash flow, tax, GST, budgeting and statutory reporting .

• Prepare and review  annual reports, statutory accounts and management reports .

• Perform and review  revenue, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations .

• Ensure compliance with  accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate governance requirements .

• Liaise with  auditors, tax agents and external advisors .

• Identify and deliver opportunities to  automate, simplify and transform finance processes .

• Leverage  AI, GenAI, automation, data analytics and technology to improve accounting efficiency, accuracy and scalability.

• Partner with Finance Systems, Data, Engineering and business teams to implement  technology-enabled finance solutions .

• Lead or support  process improvement and finance transformation initiatives , challenging existing ways of working.

• Translate complex accounting requirements into  practical, scalable solutions .

Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy / Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.

• 8+ years' relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, consulting or finance transformation.

• Strong technical accounting, analytical and reconciliation skills.

• Experience in finance transformation, automation or consulting is highly preferred.

• Strong interest in AI, GenAI, automation, data and emerging finance technologies .

• Advanced MS Excel skills; ERP, BI, workflow automation or financial systems experience is a plus.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management and project management skills.

• Able to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment .

• Highly detail-oriented, curious and willing to challenge the status quo.
