Position: Head Receptionist / Lead Front of House Location: Zental Barnet - EN5 5UR Schedule: Full-time | Monday – Friday including alternate Saturdays

We are looking for a highly experienced Head receptionist / Lead Front of house colleague who can join our growing team in our Beautiful Barnet branch. The role is full time 5 days per week with the requirements to work alternate saturdays. The ideal candidate will be someone who has excellent communication skills, is proactive and service-driven who can provide outstanding patient care while supporting the smooth operational running of the practice. Dental experience in the private sector is essential.

Your Role

As a Senior Dental Front of House, you will be the welcoming face of our practice while taking on responsibilities that support both patients and practice operations. You will help maintain Zental’s high standards of service, organisation, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Front of House Leadership

• Deliver a first-class, personalised patient experience

• Manage enquiries (in person, phone, email) with warmth and professionalism

• Handle appointment scheduling, payments, invoices, and treatment plan coordination

• Support patients with finance options and ensure smooth progression through treatment

• Maintain a polished, organised reception environment

Operational Support (Lead Level Duties)

• Support daily operational flow of the practice

• Support and lead the Front of house team

• Assist with staff coordination, rotas, and team organisation

• Oversee stock control, supplier liaison, and practice logistics

• Support compliance, documentation, and internal processes

• Gather and communicate patient feedback to continuously improve service quality

Note: This is a senior front-of-house role with operational responsibilities, but not a managerial position.

Essential Requirements

• Private dental experience – essential

• Previous leadership experience as Head Receptionist, Lead Front of house or other leadership position in dentistry

• Fully trained and experienced with major patient management systems (e.g., Dentally, SOE)

• Excellent written and spoken communication skills

• Proven experience in premium/luxury customer service, healthcare, or dental settings

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask calmly and confidently

• Professional, warm, and polished presentation

• Proactive, solution-driven mindset with exceptional attention to detail

• Confident with IT systems (including Excel and practice management software)

Preferable

• Fully trained and experienced with CRM systems such as Boxly

• University degree or equivalent

• Experience supporting operational or coordination duties
