About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Engineering Advisor / DFM Engineer to support product development and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will act as a key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring manufacturability of designs and successful transition into production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews for high-end customer orders

• Analyze and support optimization of part designs to ensure manufacturability

• Conduct customer communication via phone and video calls regarding design and production issues

• Maintain written communication with customers for problem-solving and technical clarification

• Collaborate with partners and suppliers (written, phone, video) to resolve manufacturability challenges

• Provide expertise in complaint handling (excluding formal RMA cases)

• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing and engineering processes

• Ensure clear and timely resolution of technical production issues

Requirements

Experience

• 7+ years of experience in CNC machining and/or sheet metal manufacturing

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC, sheet metal fabrication)

• Experience working with technical drawings and design-related problem solving

Languages

• Fluent and professional English

• Fluent and professional German

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

• High attention to detail

• Strong understanding of customer needs

• Ability to adapt across different industries

Working Conditions

• Working hours: CET (8:00–17:00 or 9:00–18:00)

• Remote work: possible (Germany / Poland / Bulgaria) or office-based (Munich)

• If located in Munich: hybrid work in line with back-to-office policy

• Holiday calendar: local law / Bavarian public holidays

Additional Information

• This role is initially planned as a replacement for approximately 1 year

• Extension is possible depending on team structure and business needs
