  The role

As a  UX Designer , you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 5-8 YEARS  of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

• A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo

• A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing

• Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data

• Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)

Role responsibilities

We are looking for a UX Designer with 5–8 years of experience  who can take ownership of the UX process and do the  UX heavy lifting  — from understanding customer needs and business objectives to defining problems, shaping experiences, and delivering thoughtful, user-centric solutions.

The ideal candidate is not just someone who creates screens. You should be able to  understand customers, speak their language, challenge assumptions, simplify complex problems, and translate insights into meaningful experiences.

What You’ll Do

• Lead UX activities across projects, from discovery and problem definition through to final experience design.

• Understand  customer needs, behaviours, pain points, motivations, and expectations .

• Conduct and support user research, interviews, workshops, journey mapping, personas, and usability testing.

• Translate customer and business requirements into clear  UX strategies and solutions .

• Define information architecture, user flows, journeys, wireframes, and interaction models.

• Create prototypes and validate concepts with users and stakeholders.

• Identify usability issues and continuously improve the experience based on evidence and feedback.

• Work closely with UI designers and development teams to ensure UX intent is carried through to the final product.

• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and clients to align user needs with business goals.

• Present and articulate design decisions clearly, using  customer and business outcomes rather than design jargon .

• Challenge existing assumptions and propose better, simpler, and more effective solutions.

• Contribute to design systems, UX standards, and reusable patterns where appropriate.

What We’re Looking For

Must Have

• 5–8 years of professional UX design experience.

• Strong understanding of  human-centred design and UX methodologies .

• Demonstrated ability to independently drive UX work and take ownership of complex problems.

• Strong ability to understand  customer needs and speak the customer's language .

• Experience translating ambiguous requirements into clear UX problems and actionable solutions.

• Strong skills in:

• User journeys

• Information architecture

• User flows

• Wireframing

• Prototyping

• Usability testing

• UX research

• Interaction design

• Strong communication and storytelling skills.

• Ability to explain  why  a design solution is right, not just  what  was designed.

• Experience working directly with clients, stakeholders, product teams, and developers.

• Strong proficiency in  Figma  or equivalent UX/design tools.

The Person We’re Looking For

We value  problem-solvers over screen-makers .

You should be someone who:

• Starts with the  customer problem , not the UI.

• Is comfortable asking  “Why?”  and challenging the brief when needed.

• Can turn complex business requirements into simple customer experiences.

• Can work with incomplete information and bring structure to ambiguity.

• Is confident conducting conversations with customers and stakeholders.

• Can advocate for users while understanding business realities.

• Uses research, data, and evidence to support design decisions.

• Is comfortable owning the UX process from  discovery → definition → design → validation .

• Can balance user needs, business objectives, technology constraints, and feasibility.

• Has strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience working on large-scale digital products or enterprise platforms.

• Experience across web, mobile, or native applications.

• Experience in design systems and component-based design.

• Experience facilitating design thinking workshops or discovery sessions.

• Exposure to accessibility and WCAG principles.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience using AI tools to accelerate UX research, ideation, prototyping, or analysis.

What Success Looks Like

Within this role, you will be expected to:

Understand → Define → Solve → Validate

You should be able to take a customer or business problem, understand it deeply, define the right UX problem, develop meaningful solutions, validate them, and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions.

Core Attribute

We are looking for a UX designer who can do the UX heavy lifting — someone who understands customers deeply, speaks their language, owns the problem, and can turn complexity into simple, meaningful experiences.
