Senior DevOps Engineer - Azure

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer (6+ years experience) with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and working knowledge of AWS and/or GCP to lead end-to-end cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices. 

This role focuses on designing and operating secure, scalable, and production-grade cloud platforms, with emphasis on Azure-native services, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, and cloud governance. You will work closely with engineering teams and clients to deliver highly available, cost-optimized, and compliant systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles.

• Strong production experience with Azure , exposure to AWS or GCP is a plus and willingness to learn and work across other cloud or hybrid environments as needed.

• Deep hands-on experience in designing and managing Terraform based infrastructure provisioning. 

• Strong expertise in designing and securing Azure network architectures, including Hub-and-Spoke topologies, Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), Private Link, Application Gateway, and Azure Firewall.

• Experience with cloud native Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Bicep/ARM and Ansible (good to have).

• Strong knowledge and experience with container orchestration platforms such as AKS (must-have), Azure Container Apps. Exposure to EKS, GKE, ECS is a plus..

• Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tools.

• Proven expertise in scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, Go, or Bash to build tailored automation solutions, integrate APIs, and develop custom tooling.

• Experience working with serverless and event-driven architectures.

• Strong understanding and hands on production experience of implementing observability solutions including logging, metrics and alerting using cloud native or open source tools.

• Hands-on experience with identity, access management, and enterprise governance in Azure using Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Management Groups, and Azure Policy.

• Experience in administering Windows and Linux based Cloud virtual machines, including AD integration, storage, networking, backup, performance optimization, access control, monitoring and troubleshooting.

• Experience designing and managing databases, knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL and MS SQL.

• Strong troubleshooting and Hands on experience in incident management, conducting root cause analysis.

• Good communication skills with experience interacting with clients.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with different teams and stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Certifications in Azure, AWS, GCP, Terraform, or Kubernetes.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Familiarity utilizing GitHub Copilot or Azure DevOps AI features to accelerate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development and script automation.
