What Your Day-To-Day Looks Like (Position Responsibilities): • Control access to government facilities and verify credentials of personnel and visitors.
• Monitor entry control points, visitor processing areas, and protected facilities.
• Conduct security screening and enforce established security procedures.
• Operate and monitor Integrated Electronic Security Systems (IESS), alarms, cameras, and related security technologies.
• Maintain visitor logs, access records, incident reports, and security documentation.
• Conduct foot patrols and security inspections of assigned areas.
• Respond promptly to alarms, security violations, emergencies, and suspicious activities.
• Escort visitors and uncleared personnel in accordance with security requirements.
• Protect classified workspaces and ensure compliance with physical security regulations.
• Communicate effectively with government personnel, military leadership, and fellow guards.
• Support emergency response, force protection, and contingency operations as required.
• Participate in required training, exercises, certifications, and security briefings.
• Maintain professional appearance, conduct, and adherence to all post orders.
What You Need to Succeed (Minimum Requirements): • Active SECRET Security Clearance.
• U.S. citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, force protection, or related field.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Comfortable with shift work - r otating 24/7/365 Coverage (Eight-Hour Shifts)
• Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, patrol, and remain alert for extended periods.
• Ability to successfully pass all required background checks, medical screenings, and government-directed training requirements.
Ideally, You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications): • Prior military service, military police, law enforcement, or security force experience.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) installations.
• Experience operating electronic security systems, CCTV, access control, or alarm systems.
• Experience supporting overseas or contingency operations.
• Knowledge of physical security and force protection procedures.
