As our direct-to-consumer business continues to expand, we are seeking a highly analytical and customer-focused Senior E-Commerce Merchandising Manager to lead onsite merchandising strategy, optimize the digital shopping experience, and drive profitable growth across our Shopify Plus ecosystem. Reporting to the Director of E-Commerce, this role will own the day-to-day performance of our ecommerce storefronts, ensuring customers have an engaging, intuitive, and seamless shopping experience from homepage through checkout. You will leverage data, customer insights, merchandising strategy, and experimentation to improve conversion, average order value, and overall site performance while partnering closely with Marketing, Creative, Planning, Operations, and external development partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about ecommerce merchandising, thrives on data-driven decision-making, and enjoys continuously optimizing the customer journey.
Responsibilities Onsite Merchandising & Business Performance
• Own the day-to-day merchandising strategy across all Shopify Plus storefronts
• Monitor and optimize key ecommerce KPIs, including:
• Revenue
• Traffic
• Conversion Rate
• Average Order Value (AOV)
• Units Per Transaction (UPT)
• Revenue Per Visitor (RPV)
• Bounce Rate
• Cart & Checkout Conversion
• Lead weekly e-commerce trading meetings to review business performance, inventory levels, best sellers, promotional opportunities, and merchandising priorities
• Execute merchandising updates for product launches, seasonal collections, promotions, and marketing campaigns
• Partner with Planning and Inventory teams to maximize product visibility while supporting inventory and sell-through objectives
Customer Journey & Site Experience
• Own the customer journey across desktop and mobile, ensuring a seamless experience from homepage through checkout
• Continuously optimize:
• Homepage
• Navigation
• Collection Pages
• Product Detail Pages (PDPs)
• Search & Filtering
• Cart
• Checkout
• Collaborate with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure onsite messaging aligns with campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives
• Identify customer friction points and develop solutions that improve usability, engagement, and conversion
Shopify Merchandising
• Manage Shopify Plus merchandising operations, including:
• Collections
• Product Sorting
• Featured Products
• Product Badging
• Cross-selling & Upselling
• Promotional Merchandising
• Optimize search functionality, navigation, collections, and product discovery.
• Maintain high standards for product organization, content accuracy, and merchandising consistency
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
• Develop and manage the ecommerce experimentation roadmap.
• Lead A/B testing initiatives across:
• Homepage layouts
• Collection pages
• PDP content
• Promotional messaging
• Cart & Checkout
• Product recommendations
• Define testing hypotheses, success metrics, and post-test reporting
• Partner with development teams to implement experiments and prioritize improvements that increase conversion and customer engagement
Analytics & Reporting
• Own ecommerce performance reporting using:
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4)
• Shopify Analytics
• Business Intelligence dashboards
• Perform daily website health checks and proactively identify performance issues
• Analyze customer behavior, funnel performance, merchandising trends, and revenue drivers
• Present weekly and monthly business insights with actionable recommendations for leadership
• Ensure accurate ecommerce tracking and analytics implementation across the website
Technology & Platform Optimization
• Partner with external development agencies to prioritize enhancements, bug fixes, and new functionality
• Manage QA processes for website launches, merchandising updates, and promotional campaigns
• Maintain detailed development tickets, testing documentation, and implementation timelines
• Evaluate and recommend new ecommerce technologies including:
• AI-powered search
• Product recommendations
• Personalization
• Merchandising tools
• Reviews & UGC platforms
• Bundling solutions
• Analytics platforms
• Support optimization for SEO, AI-powered search, and emerging digital commerce technologies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Planning, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, and Production teams
• Coordinate ecommerce launch calendars to ensure inventory, promotions, and website updates are aligned
• Work with Customer Service to identify customer feedback and prioritize website improvements
• Ensure cross-functional communication for all ecommerce initiatives and product launches
Continuous Improvement
• Stay current on e-commerce trends, Shopify Plus enhancements, merchandising best practices, AI-powered commerce tools, and customer behavior
• Recommend quarterly initiatives that improve site performance, customer experience, operational efficiency, and revenue growth
• Foster a culture of testing, learning, and continuous optimization
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Merchandising, or a related field
• 5+ years of e-commerce merchandising or digital merchandising experience, preferably within fashion, lifestyle, apparel, or consumer products
• Extensive hands-on experience with Shopify or Shopify Plus
• Strong experience using Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for ecommerce reporting, funnel analysis, segmentation, and performance monitoring
• Experience managing onsite merchandising, product launches, collections, promotions, and customer journeys
• Proven success leading conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives and A/B testing programs
• Strong understanding of ecommerce KPIs including:
• Conversion Rate

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills
