Our unique approach to product innovation combined with our collaborative culture means you can build your career in a supportive environment. You’ll be joining a diverse team of over 300 people who are always looking to deliver better outcomes for Australian businesses.

About the Role:

As a Senior Business Analyst at Shift, you will lead the delivery of highly complex, enterprise-scale financial technology initiatives. You will work autonomously to tackle ambiguous delivery challenges and play a critical role in shaping business outcomes from day one. Your ability to independently engage stakeholders, define business requirements, and drive strategy execution across multiple functions is essential to success in this role.

What You’ll Do:

- Drive analysis and solution design for large-scale migration programs and core banking transformations, ensuring strategic alignment and delivery risk mitigation

- Navigate complex financial products and systems with a deep understanding of their operational, regulatory, and technical context

- Oversee end-to-end process mapping, gap analysis, and operational redesign in environments with high ambiguity

- Lead integration projects involving multiple internal and external partners, managing dependencies and technical interfaces

- Architect and oversee data migrations and interfaces between legacy and next-gen core systems

- Own change management strategies for high-impact transformation initiatives

- Author business cases, cost/benefit analyses, and executive reporting to support decision-making

- Mentor and coach business analysts and cross-functional teams, fostering capability uplift and continuous improvement

- Ensure all solutions meet stringent financial services regulations and audit/compliance requirements

What You’ll Bring:

- Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst in financial services environments, ideally within core banking or equivalent complex domains

- Demonstrated record of leading complex system migrations and technical integration projects from inception to delivery

- Deep knowledge of core banking systems, financial product operations, and regulatory frameworks

- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influencing skills

- Advanced skills in process design, documentation, and operational transformation

- Independent, proactive mindset with the ability to navigate and resolve high degrees of ambiguity

- Proven experience leading major workshops, alignment forums, and influencing cross-functional groups at scale

- Strong project governance, risk management, and delivery assurance abilities

- Ability to mentor and develop business analysts and operational teams

- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in high-pressure, fast-paced settings with minimal direction

Key benefits:

- Collaborative teams – a flat structure means everyone can learn from colleagues and senior leaders around the business.

- Be involved – come together with all of your colleagues every 100 days to share the product and technology roadmap and business strategy.

- Flexible working environment – we’re headquartered in North Sydney with state-based workplaces and offer a flexible work policy.
