About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Events Assistant who is best in class with a high IQ plus a high EQ. This role presents an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a rapidly growing team, with abundant prospects for career advancement.

Sezzle's Events function produces all internal, revenue, and industry events the company runs, from our 200-person annual company offsite to trade show sponsorships and executive client experiences. We also manage special initiatives at Sezzle, including our jersey patch sponsorship of the Minnesota Timberwolves. We're adding an Events Assistant to support the Head of Events & Special Initiatives, who serves as executive producer of all Sezzle events, and the Director of B2B Marketing.

This is a coordinator role focused on logistics, admin, research, and coordination. You'll keep the details moving so the colleagues you support can focus on strategy and execution. You'll need to hit the ground running: your first big project will be supporting our company offsite in Mexico in February 2027.

What You'll Do:

Logistics

• Coordinate event attendee logistics: registration, rooming lists, flights, ground transportation, dietary needs, and special requests

• Manage RSVPs and attendee communications for internal events and client experiences

• Support ordering, shipping, and inventory of swag at Sezzle

Admin

• Keep event timelines, task trackers, and run-of-show documents up to date

• Track budgets, deposits, and invoices, and keep contracts and files organized

• Track deadlines for sponsorship deliverables, registrations, booth materials, and contracts

• Collect and process attendance requests from sales reps for industry events

• Schedule meetings, take notes, and follow up on action items

Research

• Research venues, hotels, vendors, and industry events, and summarize options for review

• Request and compare vendor quotes

• Gather event details (contracts, websites, past post-mortems) to help build briefing docs and executive summaries

Coordination

• Work with Sales, Marketing, Design, People, Finance, and the executive team to gather inputs and approvals

On-site support

• Travel to select events to support setup, registration, attendee check-in, and load-out

• Be a calm, problem-solving presence

On site Post-event

• Reconcile invoices and collect attendee feedback

• Help draft post-event recaps and post-mortems

• Maintain event archives, vendor lists, and templates for future use

Additional B2B Marketing Support

• Develop and manage event and B2B marketing LinkedIn content

• Collaborate with Revenue Operations to ensure Salesforce is up to date with event prospect information

• Help develop email marketing cadences for event prospects

• Organize sales materials and maintain team Confluence pages

What We Look For:

• 2+ years of experience in event coordination, hospitality, travel management, or a similar logistics-heavy role

• A valid US B1/B2 visa with at least 12 months of remaining validity, plus a valid passport

• Willingness to travel up to 10%, including multi-day international trips that may include weekends and evenings

• English at B2 level or higher and native or professional Spanish, written and spoken.

• You'll work daily with US-based teams, executives, and vendors, as well as Latin American venues and partners.

• Availability during US Central Time business hours

• Strong proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) and comfort learning new tools (we use Jira and Slack)

• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent AI tools (such as ChatGPT or Grok) for research, drafting, and organizing information. Claude experience is strongly preferred.

• Reliable home office setup and internet connection

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with corporate retreats, incentive travel, or trade shows

• Experience with registration or event platforms

• Experience in fintech, SaaS, or B2B marketing

• Basic design skills (Canva, Figma) for signage and attendee materials

About You:

• You have relentlessly high standards - many people may think your standards are unreasonably high. You are continually raising the bar and driving those around you to deliver great results. You make sure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed.

• You’re not bound by convention - your success—and much of the fun—lies in developing new ways to do things

• You need action - speed matters in business. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not need extensive study. We value calculated risk-taking.

• You earn trust - you listen attentively, speak candidly, and treat others respectfully.

• You have backbone; disagree, then commit - you can respectfully challenge decisions when you disagree, even when doing so is uncomfortable or exhausting. You have conviction and are tenacious. You do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is determined, you commit wholly.

• You deliver results - you focus on the key inputs and deliver them with the right quality and in a timely fashion. Despite setbacks, you rise to the occasion and never settle.

What Makes Working at Sezzle Awesome:

At Sezzle, we are more than just brilliant engineers, passionate data enthusiasts, out-of-the-box thinkers, and determined innovators. We believe in surrounding ourselves with only the best and the brightest individuals. Our culture is not defined by a certain set of perks designed to give the illusion of the traditional startup culture, but rather, it is the visible example living in every employee that we hire.

Compensation : The compensation range for the role is $2.900 - $3.400 USD gross monthly.
