Structural Steel Fitter / Flux Core Welder Location: York, PA Job Type: Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire Shifts: 1st and 2nd Shift Pay Rate: Up to $25.00/hour, depending on experience 2nd Shift Differential: Additional $3.00/hour Position Overview We are hiring skilled structural steel fabrication workers for fitting and welder/fitter positions. Depending on the assignment and experience, work may focus on steel layout and assembly or include Flux Core welding. Candidates should be comfortable reading fabrication drawings, measuring and positioning steel components, and preparing assemblies for welding and production.

Key Responsibilities • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.

• Measure, position, and fit structural steel components according to required dimensions and layouts.

• Perform welding and fitting work in accordance with project requirements and applicable quality standards.

• Set up and operate a track torch for required cutting and fabrication tasks.

• Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.

• Perform flux-core welding and meet the required welding test standards.

• Inspect completed work to help ensure proper fit, weld quality, and dimensional accuracy.

• Coordinate with coworkers and supervisors to meet production schedules and deadlines.

• Maintain an organized work area and follow all established safety procedures.

Qualifications • Previous experience as a structural steel fitter, welder, or welder/fitter in a similar manufacturing or fabrication environment.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.

• Working knowledge of welding processes, equipment, and materials.

• Ability to set up and operate a track torch.

• For welding and combined roles, ability to pass all required flux-core welding tests.

• AWS welding certification or an equivalent welding certification preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
