Tax Analyst

TAX ANALYST

The primary focus of this role is to provide technical and operational support in the bank's tax compliance, ensuring accurate tax determination, regulatory compliance, documentation control, and readiness for tax audits.

We're looking for a profile with 4–6 years of tax experience (ideally in banking or Big 4), strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws, and solid skills in SAT platforms and reconciliations. The role supports tax compliance, audit readiness, CFDI reviews, and advisory on financial products.

Challenges that await you:

• Prepare and review monthly and annual tax returns (Income Tax, VAT, withholdings).

• Review the tax treatment of financial income, fees, leases, and other banking products.

• Oversee tax withholdings applicable to vendors and clients.

• Review incoming CFDIs for compliance: tax requirements, deductibility, withholdings, and payment method.

• Reconcile accrued vs. recognized income for tax reporting purposes.

• Build and maintain a tax-specific defense file by tax type.

• Document internal tax positions and provide support during SAT or CNBV audits.

• Assist with transfer pricing compliance (annexes, functional analysis).

• Provide internal tax advisory on new financial products and regulatory compliance.

What makes you a great fit:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

• 4–6 years of experience in tax, preferably in banking or a Big 4 firm in the bank sector.

• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation and applicable banking regulations.

• Proficient in SAT platforms, tax withholdings, and tax-accounting reconciliations.
