Job Summary 

The Senior Industrial Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and comprehensive electrical estimates and proposals for industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical estimating in an industrial environment, with at least one year of experience supporting industrial water/wastewater projects strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing electrical drawings, specifications, and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to understand project scope, identify electrical and instrumentation requirements, and develop complete labor and material estimates.

Minimum Requirement

• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience

• 3+ years of industrial electrical estimating experience

• Work independently on $10M industrial electrical estimates 

• Strong understanding of electrical estimating, including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs.

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, one-lines, plans, and specifications.

• Understanding of electrical and instrumentation scope associated with industrial facilities.

• Strong understanding of electrical construction means, methods, materials, and labor requirements.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.

• Experience with visiting operating industrial facilities for pre-bid meetings

Preferred Requirements

• Experience with industrial water/wastewater projects strongly preferred.

• Experience with Industrial mining, manufacturing, and other industrial process facilities.

• Experience with leading estimating teams

• Experience with leading large industrial electrical estimates ($10M-$20M+) preferred

• Experience with AccuBid Classic or similar electrical estimating software.

• Ability to develop complete and accurate electrical estimates from bid documents.

• Experience soliciting and evaluating vendor and subcontractor pricing.

• Experience with creating comprehensive estimate proposals

• Experience with developing /training electrical estimators preferred

• Experience with parsing estimate information into complex customer bid forms using Microsoft Excel

• Experience with attending customer meetings and effectively communicating with customer important estimate & project info

Essential Responsibilities

Experience with AccuBid Classic or similar electrical estimating software is preferred.

Work Environment: 

• Primarily office or hybrid work environment.  

• Occasional travel to commercial construction sites, pre-bid meetings, customer meetings, and project locations.  

• Variable weather and conditions while visiting active construction sites, including exposure to noise, dust, uneven surfaces, and other construction-related hazards.  

• Must comply with all applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
