• Competitive salary of £38,220 - £45,091 at Social Worker level per annum (DOE) or a salary of £46,142 - £49,282 at Senior Practitioner level (DOE)

About the Role

As a member of the Children’s Assessment Service, your responsibilities will include:

• Providing timely and effective support to children and families.

• Participating in a duty rota, receiving and managing referrals from MASH

• Completing high-quality, evidence-based assessments to identify risks, strengths and support needs.

• Lead Section 47 Child Protection Investigations where safeguarding concerns require further assessment.

• Work closely with children, families and partner agencies to develop effective intervention plans.

• Ensuring children and families receive the right support at the right time to achieve positive and lasting outcomes.

• Developing clear recommendations and plans that promote safety, wellbeing and long-term stability.

• Working within a supportive team environment with guidance from experienced managers.

• Contributing to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare through effective assessment and decision-making.

About You

We are looking for passionate and committed social workers who are motivated to deliver excellent services for children and families. To be considered, you will have:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent)

• Registration with Social Work England

• Completion of ASYE

• Experience within Children's Social Care, safeguarding or family support services

• Strong assessment, communication and relationship building skills

• A commitment to high-quality, child-centred practice

• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
