Senior Social Worker - Duty and Assessment

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s Social Worker to join its client’s Duty and Assessment team, based in Shropshire.

What will your responsibilities be?  

• Completing Social Work Assessments (SWA).Undertaking Section 47 (S47) Child Protection enquiries.

• Completing Section 7 (S7) reports.

• Completing Section 37 (S37) reports.

• Completing initial Child in Need (CIN) assessments.

• Attending and completing Child Protection (CP) Core Groups.

• Preparing court statements when required.

• Preparing care plans for initial court hearings.

• Attending initial court hearings where necessary.

• Participating in the duty rota every other week, requiring office attendance.

• Managing workload independently when off duty, including:

• Home working.

• Completing follow-up visits.

• Updating assessments and case records.

• Progressing casework and interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:  

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Social Work England registration  

• Eligible to work in the UK  

• Hold a full UK driving licence  

• Post-qualified experience  

• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
