What You'll Do: Payroll Processing
• Process end-to-end payroll for all employee classifications, ensuring accuracy of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions.
• Calculate and process new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, garnishments, retroactive pay, and off-cycle payments.
• Reconcile payroll registers and third-party payments (benefits, taxes, retirement contributions) prior to disbursement.
• Ensure compliance with local wage and tax regulations.
Data & Records Management
• Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date employee payroll records, including compensation history, tax forms, direct deposit information, and deduction authorizations.
• Own the integrity of payroll data across HRIS/payroll platforms, ensuring consistency between systems (e.g., HR, timekeeping, benefits)
• Establish and follow standardized recordkeeping procedures in line with company policy and statutory retention requirements.
• Manage secure storage, filing, and retrieval of payroll records, ensuring confidentiality and restricted access to sensitive employee data.
• Conduct regular data audits to identify and correct discrepancies, duplicate records, or outdated information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with the rest of HR/People Operations team to ensure employee data (new hires, status changes, terminations) is accurately reflected in payroll records.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and records requests in a timely and confidential manner.

• 3+ years of experience in payroll processing, records management, or HRIS administration.
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems.
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data reconciliation and reporting.
• Solid understanding of wage and hour laws, tax withholding requirements, and records retention regulations.
