We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join us. In this role, you will design, build, and optimize data pipelines and infrastructure to ensure that high-quality, reliable data powers our products, analytics, and decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to enable scalable data-driven solutions that support Klivvr’s mission of delivering innovative fintech experiences.
What you'll do: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data workflows.
• Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and real-time streaming systems.
• Partner with product, engineering, and analytics teams to understand data needs and deliver reliable solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, governance, security, and compliance across systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices and standards across the data team.
• Stay current with industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies in big data and cloud computing.
To succeed in this role, you'll need to have: • 4+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
• Experience with data pipeline creation, orchestration & data processing frameworks (AirByte, AirFlow, DBT/DataForm, Apache Spark, etc.)
• Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms.
• Experience with big data technologies.
• Knowledge of data modeling, warehousing (BigQuery) and database design.
• Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in the fintech is a plus.
• Familiarity with machine learning pipelines and MLOps is a plus.
• Contribution to open-source data engineering projects.
• Familiarity with code version control and deployment & monitoring strategies
