Tax Specialist

Salary from 2100 €/gross month (depends on experience)  (Hybrid)

Join our Finance team and take responsibility for a broad range of tax-related topics while working closely with accounting, specialist departments and external tax advisors.

 

What you will do:  

• Support tax audits and annual audits, and coordinate the necessary data and documents with accounting and specialist departments.

• Provide tax support and review current tax returns (corporate income tax, trade tax, wage tax, etc.) in cooperation with external consultants.

• Act as a contact person for income tax matters and assess topics such as monetary benefits and travel expenses.

• Support the preparation and analysis of tax provisions in monthly and annual financial statements.

• Work closely with financial accounting and ensure a sound understanding of accounting processes in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB).

• Further develop and optimize existing tax processes and contribute ideas for automation and efficiency improvements.

• Support the tax team with VAT-related matters.

• Support other tax topics as required, such as transfer pricing, withholding tax or tax projects.

 

What we are looking for:   

• Degree in finance, accounting, economics, tax or a similar field.

• At least 3 years of professional experience in tax, accounting or a related finance role.

• Fluent German – mandatory.

• Good command of English – nice to have.

• Good understanding of accounting processes and tax principles; knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB) is an advantage.

• Experience with German tax topics and/or German tax environment is an advantage.

• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and meet deadlines.

• Structured and solution-oriented approach to work.

• Interest in improving processes and using automation to increase efficiency.

• Ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.
