About the company:

KIEFER is building Greece's integrated AI ecosystem. From renewable energy infrastructure and AI systems to robotics and enterprise applications, we connect the technologies that power Europe's intelligent future. Founded in 2014, KIEFER has delivered 600MW+ of energy projects and is now developing sovereign AI infrastructure, enterprise AI products and physical AI systems for Greece and Southeast Europe.

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Mechanical or Electrical Engineer to lead the operations of our new data center. As the Data Center Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the complete physical infrastructure of the facility, ensuring 24/7 uptime, safety, and efficiency.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an engineer who thrives in mission-critical environments. You will be the ultimate owner of the site's mechanical, cooling, and electrical systems, leading a team of on-site technicians and defining the operational standards that will ensure our success.

What you will do:

- Take full ownership of the data center's physical infrastructure, including all mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems.

- Lead and coordinate a team of on-site technicians, managing 24/7 shift operations and ensuring a culture of safety and precision.

- Develop and implement operational procedures, maintenance plans, and incident response protocols (MOPs, SOPs, EOPs).

- Oversee the performance and capacity of all critical systems, using data to make informed decisions and prevent downtime.

- Serve as the lead incident commander during facility emergencies, guiding the team to a swift and effective resolution.

- Manage relationships with vendors, contractors, and local utilities.

What you will need:

- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

- 7+ years of hands-on experience in a mission-critical operational environment such as a power plant, industrial facility, marine vessel (engine room), or large-scale manufacturing.

- Deep expertise in either industrial cooling systems (chillers, pumps, piping) OR high-availability electrical distribution (UPS, generators, switchgear).

- A proven track record of leading technical teams and managing 24/7 operations.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.

- Fluency in Greek and English (professional proficiency preferred but not mandatory).

What is there for you

- A unique opportunity to transition your engineering skills into the high-growth AI infrastructure industry.

- The chance to build and lead operations for a new, state-of-the-art facility from day one.

- A stable, long-term leadership position based in Megalopoli.

- A competitive compensation package and the opportunity for significant career growth.
