Accountabilities • Define and lead the overall brand strategy, positioning, voice, identity, messaging hierarchy, and creative standards, ensuring a distinctive and consistent expression across key customer touchpoints.
• Translate consumer insights, product truths, competitive context, and commercial opportunities into differentiated positioning, value propositions, launch narratives, and go-to-market strategies.
• Lead the development and execution of integrated brand storytelling across packaging, digital creative, retail, organic content, communications, product launches, and consumer experiences.
• Build cultural relevance and a strong consumer community through creators, influencers, partnerships, events, activations, organic social, and community-led programs.
• Build and lead a high-performing Brand organization spanning creative, organic social, content, community, partnerships, and activations, while developing the talent and external partner ecosystem required for scale.
• Establish clear standards and ways of working that improve creative quality, execution speed, collaboration, and consistency while reducing unnecessary rework and escalation.
• Own the annual brand plan, marketing calendar, awareness budget, campaign priorities, and related investment decisions, balancing long-term brand building with near-term commercial objectives.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to connect brand strategy with broader business priorities and ensure campaigns and launches contribute measurably to growth.
• Use consumer insights, performance data, and market intelligence to inform decisions while maintaining strong creative judgment and a bias toward action.
• Build an operating model that enables the Brand function, agency network, and broader organization to scale alongside the company’s ambitions.
Requirements
• Significant senior brand leadership experience within a high-growth consumer business, ideally in CPG, health, wellness, nutrition, performance, or a closely related category.
• Demonstrated success building distinctive brands and leading integrated campaigns, activations, communications, and launches that generated measurable business impact.
• Exceptional storytelling and product-positioning capabilities, with the ability to connect consumer insight, product truth, and competitive context into compelling propositions and narratives.
• Strong creative and design judgment, with experience directing designers, writers, content teams, agencies, and other creative partners without needing to serve as the primary creator.
• Proven experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, establishing clear expectations, raising quality standards, and improving organizational speed and effectiveness.
• Broad omnichannel expertise spanning direct-to-consumer, retail, packaging, product launches, digital experiences, content, community, and consumer engagement.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to connect brand investments and marketing priorities to measurable business outcomes.
• Ability to combine data and consumer research with sound judgment, avoiding excessive analysis when decisive action is required.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders, challenge ideas constructively, and align diverse teams around a clear vision.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, founder-led environment that values ownership, candor, resourcefulness, creativity, and high standards.
