Accountabilities • Install, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise middleware solutions to meet business and application requirements.
• Provide L2 technical support and act as a senior escalation point for complex middleware and infrastructure issues.
• Support technologies including AWS MQ, IBM MQ/MQFTE, Apache Tomcat, web services, application servers, and IBM WTX.
• Perform performance tuning, capacity planning, upgrades, clustering, redundancy, and disaster recovery activities.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, middleware, connectivity, performance, and application-related issues in production environments.
• Partner with end users and application development teams to support mission-critical applications and resolve technical challenges.
• Establish and maintain standards, procedures, and best practices for middleware installation, maintenance, enhancement, and operational support.
• Evaluate and clearly communicate architectural trade-offs involving availability, performance, interoperability, and cost to both technical and executive stakeholders.
• Participate in enterprise middleware and cloud technology projects, managing implementation plans and delivering milestones on schedule.
• Coordinate with third-party system integrators, solution providers, and external technology vendors to ensure effective service delivery.
• Support clustered and high-availability environments to maintain resilient infrastructure operations.
• Provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and cross-training to other members of the infrastructure team.
• Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation covering configurations, procedures, troubleshooting, and operational processes.
Requirements
• 3–5+ years of experience working in a production IT environment supporting and managing enterprise middleware technologies.
• Hands-on experience with AWS MQ, IBM MQ/MQFTE, Apache Tomcat, web services, application servers, and IBM WTX.
• Proven experience providing L2 middleware and IT operations support.
• Practical knowledge of enterprise middleware and cloud technologies, including implementation and ongoing administration.
• Experience with application and middleware performance tuning, capacity planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities across infrastructure and middleware environments.
• Experience working with clustered, redundant, and high-availability systems.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute short- and long-term technical projects and deliver them within agreed timelines.
• Experience coordinating with third-party system integrators, solution providers, and technology vendors.
• Strong understanding of IT support operations, processes, standards, and service management practices.
• Ability to lead or coordinate team activities and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Excellent organization, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Strong technical documentation capabilities and attention to detail.
