Accountabilities • Lead daily patient access and pre-access operations, coordinating registration and pre-registration activities and ensuring required work is completed accurately and on time.

• Supervise, coach, and develop team members through training, feedback, performance evaluations, education, and ongoing professional development.

• Monitor operational KPIs such as point-of-service collections, wait times, productivity, overtime, staffing levels, and other performance indicators, using reporting to identify opportunities for improvement.

• Coordinate staff schedules, rotations, time-off requests, and call-offs while balancing service coverage, productivity, and overtime management.

• Track upfront collection performance, establish goals, provide coaching, and implement corrective action when necessary.

• Participate in an on-call rotation, providing administrative and educational support and responding to staffing shortages, unexpected volumes, or operational issues as needed.

• Develop and improve departmental processes, procedures, and workflows while conducting audits to maintain quality, compliance, and performance standards.

• Serve as a trusted resource for staff and ancillary departments, promoting high standards of customer service and holding teams accountable for service excellence.

• Lead assigned projects involving process implementation, change management, tracking, and continuous improvement, communicating progress and outcomes to leadership.

• Partner with clients, facility leadership, and clinical or operational teams through meetings and ongoing communication to maintain alignment and improve processes.

• Support the use of AI and emerging technologies to improve operational efficiency, workflows, quality, and team performance.

• Gather and analyze operational data, contribute to facility activities, and work within designated areas when additional operational support is required.

Requirements

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• 1–3 years of relevant professional experience, with 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or a business environment preferred.

• Experience or working knowledge of healthcare patient access functions, including registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and/or hospital billing.

• CHAM (Certified Healthcare Access Management) and CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative) certifications are required.

• Demonstrated ability to lead and direct others, provide effective coaching, and create an accountable, service-focused team environment.

• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to interpret performance data, identify operational issues, and develop practical solutions.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to use reporting and productivity information to support decision-making.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, leadership, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Demonstrated advanced use of AI and the ability to guide teams in exploring, experimenting with, and applying AI to improve processes and technology-enabled workflows.

• Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment.

• Willingness and ability to travel to client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining strong collaboration and accountability.
