Accountabilities: • Lead operational governance programs across Retirement & Wealth, advising senior leaders on risk, compliance, resilience, technology, data, records, and third-party requirements while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
• Maintain governance frameworks, procedures, controls, documentation, and annual roadmaps, ensuring programs remain current, effective, and appropriately documented.
• Coordinate governance reviews, attestations, evidence collection, control testing, remediation activities, audit responses, and regulatory deliverables, ensuring commitments are completed accurately and on time.
• Track program performance, risks, milestones, and overdue actions, escalating issues appropriately and driving accountability across stakeholders.
• Lead the execution of Third-Party Risk Management and Vendor Management programs, including assessments, attestations, trigger-event reviews, issue management, reporting, and ongoing oversight.
• Partner with business, finance, technology, procurement, risk, and compliance teams to strengthen vendor governance and meet applicable regulatory and operational requirements.
• Coordinate business continuity planning, resilience testing, recovery exercises, and plan maintenance across supported business functions.
• Oversee governance for End User Computing Solutions, Process Criticality and Impact Risk Assessments, and other operational risk programs, ensuring required ownership, reviews, approvals, testing, records, and evidence are maintained.
• Lead records inventory reviews and promote effective information classification, retention, and lifecycle management across relevant functions.
• Develop executive-level dashboards, reporting, and performance metrics that provide transparency into risks, commitments, milestones, and program health while supporting informed decision-making.
• Maintain program repositories, procedures, templates, training materials, and stakeholder communications to promote consistent execution and organizational awareness.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate governance processes, improve operating effectiveness, and support business onboarding, education, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant business experience, with 8+ years of experience in business operations, operational risk, governance, compliance, technology operations, vendor management, business continuity, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of operational risk, controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations, with the ability to translate requirements into practical operating processes.
• Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional programs and delivering outcomes through influence rather than direct authority in highly matrixed organizations.
• Strong program management, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities effectively.
• Demonstrated experience designing governance processes, performance metrics, reporting frameworks, controls, and documentation that improve accountability and leadership visibility.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to build trusted relationships and communicate complex risks and operational matters clearly.
• Sound judgment, ownership, and accountability, combined with a proactive approach to risk management, continuous improvement, and business enablement.
• Financial services experience is preferred, particularly within retirement, wealth management, asset management, insurance, or banking environments.
• Knowledge of third-party risk management, operational resilience, business continuity, data analytics, records management, audits, and regulatory examinations is an advantage.
• Experience with governance and risk platforms such as Archer, Fusion, Ivalua, Process Unity, or SharePoint is considered a plus.
