What the employer wrote

Accountabilities: • Define and own the product marketing strategy across the full product portfolio, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market execution, product launches, adoption, lifecycle engagement, and ongoing market activation.

• Build and govern a scalable global product launch framework that creates clear processes, repeatable operating rhythms, and effective handoffs between strategic planning and execution.

• Develop post-launch product adoption and engagement strategies designed to increase usage, retention, product attachment, and revenue contribution rather than focusing solely on launch execution.

• Partner closely with Product, Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, Strategy, and Marketing teams to connect product marketing initiatives to commercial outcomes and ensure consistent go-to-market execution.

• Establish and own measurement frameworks for product marketing performance, including NPS tracking, product attach rates, adoption metrics, pipeline contribution, and other indicators of business impact.

• Lead the end-to-end market research and customer insights function, identifying research opportunities, defining methodologies, overseeing studies, synthesizing findings, and ensuring insights influence strategic and commercial decisions.

• Direct primary and secondary research initiatives covering customer behavior, competitive dynamics, market sizing, buyer intelligence, and other topics relevant to product and business strategy.

• Build competitive intelligence into a structured, continuous discipline and translate market signals into positioning decisions, sales enablement priorities, product roadmap input, and broader strategic recommendations.

• Serve as a trusted senior authority on customer and market intelligence, developing clear insight narratives that help leadership understand market conditions and make informed decisions.

• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-person product marketing team, including hiring, performance management, capability development, and establishing a culture of commercial accountability.

• Define how AI should be incorporated into product marketing workflows, determining which activities can be automated and where human judgment remains essential, while establishing standards for responsible and effective AI use.

• Represent product marketing and market research in executive forums and contribute to annual planning, portfolio prioritization, and other high-level business decisions.

• Build or reshape the product marketing function as needed, creating operating models and capabilities that can scale with a growing organization.

Requirements

• Bring 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with the majority of your career focused on product marketing rather than demand generation, agency work, or brand-only roles.

• Have held a Director, Senior Director, Head of Product Marketing, or comparable marketing leadership position with direct ownership of the product marketing function.

• Demonstrate a proven track record of managing and developing multi-person product marketing teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and capability building.

• Bring meaningful experience owning or significantly contributing to market research or customer insights functions, including primary research, competitive intelligence, voice-of-customer programs, or related methodologies.

• Have deep knowledge of B2B SaaS go-to-market strategy, including positioning, messaging architecture, pricing and packaging alignment, sales enablement, product launches, adoption, and lifecycle marketing.

• Demonstrate experience building, transforming, or significantly reshaping a product marketing function rather than simply managing an established inherited organization.

• Have operated successfully in a lean, fast-moving environment such as a scale-up, growth-stage, or pre-IPO company, with the ability to achieve results despite evolving processes and limited resources.

• Own go-to-market strategy end-to-end, from initial positioning through launch, post-launch adoption, and continuous market engagement.

• Demonstrate a clear connection between product marketing work and measurable business outcomes, such as pipeline, product attach rates, adoption, retention, or revenue contribution.

• Have a track record of turning research and customer insights into concrete strategic or commercial decisions rather than simply producing research reports.

• Bring broader marketing experience beyond product marketing, such as content, SEO, digital, demand generation, or go-to-market strategy.

• Be highly metrics-driven and comfortable defining measurement frameworks for both product marketing performance and research effectiveness.

• Possess strong senior-stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decisions, present with authority, and build trust through clear, substantive recommendations.

• Demonstrate strong AI fluency, including practical experience using AI tools, examples of how AI has changed your strategic or operational approach, and a thoughtful perspective on how AI will reshape product marketing.

• Be capable of establishing team-level standards for AI use, including reviewing and quality-controlling AI-assisted outputs before they reach senior stakeholders or customers.

• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, hospitality, travel technology, or hotel SaaS is a plus, as is experience working across global markets or supporting a go-to-market transformation.

• Public visibility within the product marketing or customer insights community through speaking, writing, or recognized contributions is considered a meaningful differentiator.

Benefits

• Competitive annual compensation, with location-specific ranges provided for different eligible markets.

• For the United States, the role is listed with a salary range of $100,000 to $156,500 USD .

• Unlimited paid holiday and flexible working arrangements.

• Participation in a company share program.

• Paid parental leave, including up to 6 months fully paid for primary caregivers and 2 months for secondary caregivers after one year of service.

• Annual learning budget of €300 , with additional development support available for high performers.

• Monthly dedicated development time through the EDGE program to support personal and professional growth.

• Work-from-anywhere flexibility, including the ability to work abroad for several weeks each year.

• Relocation options available after one year of service.

• Home office setup budget and monthly work-from-home allowance.

• Access to Claude tokens to support workflow automation and more efficient ways of working.

• Additional location-specific benefits, which may include healthcare, retirement plans, team events, social activities, and other local perks.

• Remote-first working environment with a strong emphasis on collaboration, communication, autonomy, and relationship building across global teams.

• Opportunity to shape a growing product marketing and market research function and influence product, commercial, and strategic decisions at a senior level.

• Inclusive, equal-opportunity environment committed to diversity, accessibility, and ensuring candidates can bring their full perspective to the workplace.
