Accountabilities • Lead forward-looking competitive and market strategy, assessing emerging competitors, treatment paradigm shifts, market dynamics, and their implications for brand positioning and investment priorities.

• Translate competitive and market insights into strategic priorities spanning brand narrative, evidence generation, long-range planning, and commercial strategy, in partnership with medical, HEOR, publications, and commercial teams.

• Serve as the commercial lead for lifecycle management and development strategy, including commercial input into clinical trial design, endpoints, patient populations, comparators, sequencing, and label optimization.

• Represent the commercial perspective in pipeline and lifecycle-management forums, providing evidence-based recommendations on program priorities, development trade-offs, and future growth opportunities.

• Define the commercial perspective on data and evidence generation across the brand lifecycle, identifying what evidence is required, when it is needed, and how it supports successful commercialization.

• Guide market-footprint prioritization, geographic sequencing, and resource allocation while partnering with market access and local leadership to support reimbursement and access objectives.

• Act as the strategic bridge between global brand strategy and local execution, ensuring markets have the clarity, tools, resources, and direction required to optimize performance.

• Partner with local market leaders to align on lifecycle priorities, launch sequencing, competitive considerations, and market-specific opportunities while incorporating local insights into global strategy.

• Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior commercial leaders, bringing analytical rigor, commercial conviction, and clear recommendations to high-impact business decisions.

• Represent the commercial perspective across clinical development, regulatory, medical affairs, market access, and global commercial forums.

• Build strong relationships across functions and geographies, influencing and mobilizing stakeholders without relying on direct authority.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; an MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.

• 8+ years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with demonstrated success in strategic roles within complex, matrixed organizations; commercial experience is strongly preferred.

• Proven experience leading enterprise-level strategic planning, with strong financial acumen, disciplined investment thinking, and sound risk-based decision-making.

• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and mobilize cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.

• Strong analytical and insight-generation capabilities, including experience using market research, competitive intelligence, and financial analysis to inform strategic decisions.

• Excellent communication, synthesis, and executive storytelling skills, with the ability to turn complex information into clear strategic implications and recommendations.

• Strong prioritization and execution skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives while operating with urgency and sound judgment in ambiguous environments.

• Deep understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, including launch planning, lifecycle management, competitive strategy, and evolving treatment landscapes.

• Experience with cardiovascular brands and/or relevant therapeutic areas is preferred; familiarity with the broader care continuum and launch experience is a plus.

• Strong collaboration skills, commercial judgment, and the ability to build alignment across diverse functions, markets, and seniority levels.

• Competitive base salary:  $201,890–$244,646 annually for the U.S.-based role.
