This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate - Trust & Safety based in India. This role is focused on protecting users and maintaining a safe, respectful, and trusted digital community. You will review voice, chat, and other user interactions while applying established safety policies and community guidelines. The position combines content moderation, investigation, quality assurance, and risk identification. You’ll help address abusive, harmful, fraudulent, and policy-violating behavior with consistency and sound judgment. Your work will directly contribute to user well-being and the integrity of the platform experience. You’ll collaborate with Product, Operations, Quality, and Trust & Safety teams to strengthen moderation practices. This is an opportunity to develop expertise in a fast-paced, evolving digital environment while making a meaningful impact.

Accountabilities • Review and moderate audio, chat, and user interactions in accordance with community guidelines, safety policies, and platform standards.

• Identify, investigate, and take appropriate action against abusive, harmful, fraudulent, or otherwise policy-violating content and behavior.

• Escalate high-risk, sensitive, or complex cases to the appropriate internal teams for timely resolution.

• Review user reports, appeals, and flagged conversations to ensure moderation decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with established policies.

• Conduct quality audits of moderated interactions and maintain accurate, complete moderation records.

• Monitor moderation trends and identify recurring risks, patterns, or opportunities to improve platform safety and user experience.

• Provide insights and feedback that can support improvements to policies, moderation workflows, and operational processes.

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, Quality, and Trust & Safety teams to strengthen moderation standards and practices.

• Handle sensitive or emotionally challenging content with empathy, professionalism, objectivity, and strict confidentiality.

• Contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive online environment through consistent application of safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

• 1–2 years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, community moderation, quality auditing, customer support, or a similar operational role.

• Strong understanding of online safety, community guidelines, content moderation principles, and policy enforcement.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess situations objectively and act appropriately.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Fluency in English and Tamil is mandatory , including reading, writing, and speaking.

• Ability to review sensitive, disturbing, or emotionally challenging content while maintaining professionalism, objectivity, and emotional resilience.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, CRM tools, and moderation, ticketing, or case-management platforms.

• High attention to detail and the ability to make accurate, consistent decisions in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, discretion, and sound judgment when handling sensitive situations.

Preferred:

• Experience in Trust & Safety operations for social, chat, voice, community, or other user-generated-content platforms.

• Familiarity with moderation dashboards, quality assurance tools, or ticketing systems.

• Understanding of abuse detection, fraud prevention, risk identification, and policy enforcement.

• Previous experience working in a startup or rapidly evolving digital environment.
