Accountabilities • Build and lead a best-in-class regional sales organization by attracting, hiring, onboarding, developing, and retaining high-performing Specialty Sales Managers.
• Establish a people-first, performance-driven culture with clear expectations, accountability, ethical standards, and a strong focus on continuous development.
• Develop territory and account strategies, coverage models, call cadences, routing plans, goals, and resource allocation approaches to maximize commercial impact.
• Lead launch execution across the Southeast territory, adapting field strategy as market conditions, customer needs, and business priorities evolve.
• Conduct regular field rides and one-on-one coaching sessions to assess representative capabilities, identify development opportunities, and provide specific, actionable feedback.
• Develop individualized performance and development plans while modeling compliant, evidence-based selling behaviors.
• Drive achievement of sales targets and activity metrics, maintaining ownership of commitments and addressing performance gaps proactively.
• Use data and clinical evidence to guide sales conversations around patient selection, product expectations, safety, onset and duration, and practice workflow integration.
• Support the adoption of an out-of-pocket therapy by helping practices and sales teams effectively use patient education and appropriate starter resources.
• Share field intelligence and customer insights with national leadership to help refine commercial strategy, launch execution, and sales processes.
• Partner closely with Sales Training, Marketing, Operations, and other internal stakeholders to prioritize needs and execute shared business objectives.
• Lead teams through launch milestones, market expansion, operational changes, and process improvements while maintaining high standards of integrity and compliance.
• Remove operational barriers, make informed decisions in ambiguous situations, and continuously improve territory and team performance.
Requirements
• 6+ years of documented success in sales, with pharmaceutical, medical, biotechnology, or closely related commercial experience strongly valued.
• Preferred experience in eye care, contact lens sales, pharmaceutical launches, or comparable specialty healthcare markets.
• 2+ years of experience leading and developing sales teams, with a demonstrated history of building consistent high-performing organizations.
• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Current, valid, unexpired driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Demonstrated ability to attract, hire, develop, retain, and motivate top sales talent.
• Strong coaching and diagnostic capabilities, including the ability to assess representative competencies and translate observations into practical development plans.
• Proven managerial courage, with the ability to address performance issues directly and respectfully while maintaining trust and accountability.
• Strong commercial and analytical skills, including the ability to use data to identify opportunities, develop territory strategies, and make resource decisions.
• Financial and business acumen with the ability to understand broader commercial objectives and their impact on performance.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-influence skills across cross-functional teams.
• High integrity and a strong commitment to compliant, ethical, evidence-based selling.
• Adaptability, resilience, and strong problem-solving skills in a fast-changing launch environment.

• Ability to travel regularly to customer and client sites and operate effectively in a remote or hybrid working environment.
