The Role

The City Lead has full responsibility for the daily operations and performance of a city depot. While remaining strongly hands-on (60–70%), this role carries clear managerial and financial ownership.

Leads the local team, manages depot costs, ensures efficient fleet turnaround, and drives continuous operational improvement. This role is accountable not only for execution, but for results. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you are responsible for delivering a high-performing, cost-efficient, and customer-focused operation every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end performance of the city depot across Rental and Servicing;

• Lead, supervise, and develop the local operational team, including shift and task planning and performance feedback;

• Be a culture setter and a leader by example;

• Track daily KPIs and ensure the SOPs are being executed;

• Monitor and improve vehicle unavailability, including stepping up to do repairs when needed;

• Own depot cost performance, including consumables, rework prevention while managing disciplined cost control practices;

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of RVs for sales appointments;

Practical Requirements

• Able to lift or move light-to-moderate items (10–15 kg) and able to stand, walk, and move across the depot for long periods;

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions;

• Flexible to work weekends, holidays, and peak periods, supporting urgent operational needs;

• 3 - 5 years of experience in fast-paced operations, logistics, rental, hospitality, or customer-facing environments;

• Strong hands-on operational capability, with the ability to step into daily depot workflows;

• Ability to multitask, prioritise, and handle physical tasks during high-volume periods;

• Flexibility to work extended shifts during peak seasons, ensuring operational continuity;

• Driving License (Category B) required;

• English proficiency (mandatory) and Norwegian (nice to have);

The Indie Commitment!

• Being part of a young, fast-growing and innovative company where you make a difference;

• Career development opportunities in Field Operations and transition opportunities to our Offices in Lisbon, Mexico City or Manila;

• Continuous training and coaching to develop the skills that matter to you;

• Compensation package that includes Performance and Referral Bonuses;

• Free Road Trips, so you can experience Indie firsthand trips around Europe, North America and Oceania;
