Genova Technologies has immediate opening for Embedded Software Developer for an exciting, long-term project in Cedar Rapids, IA.

 

What will you do?

This role will work alongside an existing team to develop software that integrates with hardware embedded in large agricultural machinery. Work must be completed at our Cedar Rapids, IA office.   

Specific responsibilities include:

• Developing, testing, and debugging embedded software utilizing Embedded C and MATLAB/Simulink.

• Collaborating with an existing Agile team, including providing feedback on feature sizing and participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

 

What do you need?

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• 4-year degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or similar field

• 4+ years of experience developing using C/C++

• 4+ years of experience developing in an embedded environment

• Some experience with Object Oriented Programming

• The ability to take initiative and complete tasks as assigned.

 

Skills we consider a plus include:

• Experience mentoring junior developers

• Experience debugging and testing, specifically on target hardware

• Experience working within an Agile / Scrum team

• Some Qt and/or MATLAB/Simulink experience

• Some experience with Git

• Experience with automated testing environments.
