We are searching for an  Accounts Payable Specialist   to join our team in Ensenada, Mexico . Responsible for supporting the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices in compliance with Mexican tax regulations, including electronic invoicing requirements. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. The role also provides ad hoc support to the US Accounts Payable team, serving as a bilingual resource across both operations.

Essential Functions:

• Process, validate, and record supplier invoices in accordance with Mexican electronic invoicing regulations and SAT guidelines.

• Verify that all incoming invoices comply with SAT requirements before processing.

• Perform 3-way matching purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.

• Manage accounts payable aging and ensure payments are processed within established terms.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

• Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs (transfers, checks, and electronic payments).

• Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all accounts payable transactions and supporting documentation.

• Assist in month-end and year-end close activities related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with the Purchasing and Finance teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.

• Provide ad hoc support to the US Accounts Payable team, including invoice processing, vendor communication, and other AP-related tasks as business needs require.

• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in public accounting.

• No prior experience required. The selected candidate will receive full on-the-job training from our internal team.

• Knowledge of or willingness to learn Mexican electronic invoicing and SAT regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• SAP experience is a plus but not required.

• English: Advanced proficiency — able to communicate fluently in a professional environment, including written correspondence, verbal communication, and cross-functional collaboration with the US team.

• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.

• Good organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and willing to learn.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
