In this role, you will be responsible for the following areas: In the role of Content Marketing Associate, you will:

• Research, edit, optimize, and publish technical blogs, newsletters, landing pages, guides, and other short- and long-form content.

• Use of GPT, Claude and other generative AI tools for content ideation, research, drafting, editing, optimization, repurposing, and scaling content production.

• Help develop and improve Educative’s content generation pipeline and workflows.

• Review and substantially improve content through research, fact-checking, editing, restructuring, and human judgment.

• Produce original content when strategic thinking, technical understanding, storytelling, or nuanced communication requires human-written content.

• Conduct ongoing competitor research across websites, microsites, Medium, DEV Community, Substack, newsletters, and other relevant platforms.

• Analyze competitor topics, formats, publishing strategies, messaging, SEO content approaches, and distribution channels to identify content gaps and opportunities.

• Take a proactive approach to market research by identifying emerging technology trends, developer interests, search behavior, and topics competitors may be investing in next.

• Translate market and competitive insights into actionable content ideas, editorial priorities, and new content initiatives.

• Develop user-focused landing page copy that clearly communicates value, addresses user needs, drives engagement, and supports conversion.

• Manage both on-page and off-page content initiatives across Educative’s websites, microsites, external platforms, and community channels.

• Manage content across multiple publishing accounts while maintaining consistent brand positioning and messaging.

• Adapt writing to different audience personas, platforms, content formats, and user intents while maintaining a consistent brand voice and tone.

• Apply SEO best practices, including keyword research, search intent analysis, content optimization, and internal linking, to improve organic visibility and user value.

• Monitor content performance and use data, audience insights, and market research to continuously improve content initiatives.

• Contribute to editorial calendars and manage content initiatives from ideation through execution and optimization.

• Collaborate with SEO, marketing, product, and subject-matter experts to create content aligned with both user needs and business objectives.

• Promote diversity, inclusivity, accessibility, and equity in the software engineering community through thoughtful and empathetic content.

About you: • 1-3 years of professional writing experience

• A writing-intensive academic background (e.g., B.A. in English or Journalism)

• Exceptional research, editing, and long-form writing skills, with strong writing samples.

• Exceptional long-form writing and research skills (and samples to prove it)

• Ability to communicate complex, technical ideas in accessible, digestible ways

• Ability to create content strategically and intentionally for specific audiences

• Working understanding of SEO best practices (experience using SEO tools is a plus)

• Meticulous eye for detail, comfortable editing the writing of others (and your own)

• Curious, growth-minded, eager to learn

• Self-starter, takes ownership of projects

• Passion for education, learning, teaching, mentoring

• Interested in the latest trends and developments in technology and software development

• Computer programming experience (or familiarity with coding concepts) is a huge bonus
