Through the easy-to-use mobile app, users can buy and sell a variety of different cryptocurrencies and access a wide range of financial services.   Coins is fully regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and is the first ever crypto-based company in Asia to hold both Virtual Currency and Electronic Money Issuer licenses from a central bank.   We are seeking a Risk Analyst with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for the crypto and payments industry. In this role, you will help design, implement, and optimize risk strategies to safeguard the platform, with a particular focus on merchant risk management and transaction monitoring. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to balance business growth with robust risk controls.

Key Responsibilities • Monitor and analyze platform transactions to identify unusual patterns, potential fraud, or high-risk activities.

• Conduct merchant onboarding risk assessments (KYB) and ongoing merchant risk reviews.

• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and Operations teams to develop risk control rules and workflows.

• Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Python) to detect anomalies, create risk dashboards, and generate actionable insights.

• Review incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend process improvements to prevent recurrence.

• Keep up-to-date with evolving fraud trends, payment regulations, and crypto industry best practices.

Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• 2–3 years of experience in risk management, fraud detection, merchant risk, or fintech risk roles.

• Strong analytical skills with experience in handling large datasets.

• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective cross-team and international communication.

• Familiarity with merchant risk assessment, payment fraud detection, or KYB/KYC processes is a strong plus.

• Skilled in SQL, Excel, and/or Python; experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience with AI/LLM applications in fraud detection, risk management, transaction monitoring, or data analytics is a strong plus.

• Familiarity with machine learning, anomaly detection, or AI-assisted decision-making is preferred.
