Full Stack Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

You'll join the core platform team at a bootstrapped AI product studio, building the systems that enable thousands of users to interact with AI every day. This role spans the full stack, from polished frontend features to the scalable backend infrastructure that powers massive LLM workloads, large data synchronization, and secure code sandboxes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Build and ship high-quality full-stack features using TypeScript and React, with a strong focus on user experience.

- Design and implement robust backend systems capable of handling terabytes of client data and millions of API requests.

- Take end-to-end ownership of features from concept and deployment through ongoing operation, ensuring reliability and security.

- Debug production incidents, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes.

- Mentor junior engineers and raise code quality through thorough, constructive code reviews.

- Synchronize and index large client datasets while managing fine-grained permissions.

- Operate and optimize systems processing millions of LLM calls per month at high reliability.

- Architect environments that spawn thousands of secure code sandboxes per day.

- Build base infrastructure that helps a custom integrations team onboard new systems quickly.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- 3 or more years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.

- Strong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL in production.

- Solid backend engineering skills, including Python, tRPC, or comparable technologies.

- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed, high-throughput services.

- Experience building scalable, reliable, and secure backend services handling high data or API volumes.

- Demonstrated full-stack application development background, with clearly visible frontend work alongside backend contributions.

- Strong product ownership mindset, with attention to UX and long-term product success.

- Experience integrating AI services, or a genuine interest in AI-integrated platforms.

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and taking on ownership quickly.

- Currently based in Munich.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: 60,000 to 80,000 EUR annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

LOCATION

Hybrid in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Candidates must already be based in Munich.
