We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to drive the evolution of our infrastructure, systems, and software delivery processes through AI-powered automation and intelligent agents. This role focuses on improving software delivery, infrastructure reliability, security, scalability, and engineering productivity through AI adoption and advanced DevOps practices.
The successful candidate will combine strong expertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), cloud technologies, scripting, and systems engineering with hands-on experience developing AI agents and applying large language models (LLMs) to engineering challenges. A key responsibility is to build AI agents for security, deployment, infrastructure optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting while driving innovation and broad AI adoption across engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain AI-powered agents for security analysis, software deployment, infrastructure optimization, monitoring, and incident investigation.
- Integrate AI agents with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, security tools, and observability systems to automate engineering workflows.
- Drive AI adoption across engineering teams by identifying opportunities and delivering scalable solutions that improve productivity and operational efficiency.
- Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable consistent, automated, and reliable software delivery.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and configuration management tools.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and AI-assisted observability solutions to improve system reliability and accelerate troubleshooting.
- Maintain and optimize cloud-based and on-premises environments, ensuring availability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
- Apply AI and automation to vulnerability management, infrastructure optimization, incident response, and operational processes, with appropriate security controls and human oversight.
- Establish best practices for developing, evaluating, securing, and operating AI-powered engineering solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, collaborate across teams, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement through emerging technologies and automation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 12+ years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, systems administration, or a related technical field.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands-on experience developing AI agents and LLM-powered automation workflows for engineering, infrastructure, security, deployment, or operations.
- Strong understanding of AI agent architectures, LLM APIs, tool calling, and integrating AI capabilities with engineering platforms and external systems.
- Proficiency in applying AI to automate complex workflows, analyze operational data, recommend actions, and improve engineering productivity.
- Experience implementing appropriate security controls, validation, and human approval mechanisms for AI-driven operations.
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent technologies.
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, Go, or other scripting and programming languages.
- Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or AWS CloudFormation.
- Working knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Oracle Cloud.
- Strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows administration, networking, distributed systems, and production infrastructure.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and modern deployment and orchestration technologies.
- Knowledge of infrastructure security, vulnerability management, observability, system reliability, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical initiatives and drive AI adoption across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Experience integrating AI solutions with cloud APIs, Kubernetes, CI/CD systems, security scanners, and monitoring platforms.
- Experience with search technologies such as Elasticsearch, messaging platforms such as Kafka, and caching systems such as Redis.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL, including performance tuning, availability, and operational management.
- Strong networking knowledge, including DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing, routing, firewalls, and network troubleshooting in cloud and on-premises environments.
- Experience evaluating AI models and agents for accuracy, reliability, security, and operational effectiveness.
