What the employer wrote

We are a leading trading platform ambitiously expanding across the global trading, investing and banking markets, and continuously entering new product categories and new geographies. Our award-winning products combine advanced technology with an exceptional client experience. As we scale, our ability to operate with speed, consistency, and precision becomes critical. The Product Operations Manager plays a central role in enabling this - driving operational excellence across product squads and ensuring our teams deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently and consistently.   Purpose of the Role   The Product Operations Manager provides the operational backbone that keeps product squads moving at pace. A true generalist, this role spans strategy, delivery, data, and process - no two days are the same.   They drive momentum, solve problems, and remove obstacles so teams can deliver quickly, effectively, and at consistently high standards. By streamlining delivery processes, maintaining governance and documentation discipline, and ensuring alignment across teams, they enable Product Owners to focus on strategic priorities while safeguarding execution quality.   The role is hands-on and adaptive - anticipating issues, connecting dots across teams, and ensuring progress continues from concept through to launch and beyond.

Responsibilities: • Drive operational excellence across product squads by optimizing delivery processes, governance, and documentation.

• Coordinate with card scheme/issuing partner (payment provider).

• Ensure new product initiatives and platform changes are well-defined, compliant, and launch-ready through structured business cases and approval processes.

• Act as a delivery enabler - removing blockers, coordinating stakeholders, and maintaining the documentation and data foundations needed for rapid, high-quality execution.

• Partner with Product Owners, Engineers, and Data Analysts to ensure reliable metrics, dashboards, and insights guide decision-making and prioritisation.

• Track performance post-launch, monitor product stability and adoption, and facilitate continuous improvement through structured feedback loops.

• Lead planning and operational cadences (KPIs, stand ups, retrospectives), maintaining momentum and alignment across teams.

• Identify and implement process improvements that enhance delivery speed, quality, and scalability.

• Drive product strategy by translating operational insights, customer feedback, and market intelligence into future features direction, ensuring delivery execution aligns with strategic priorities and the long-term product vision.

Requirements: • Degree in STEM or other quantitative fields.

• Minimum 2 years experience in a high performance environment (fintech, consultancy, investment bank, high-growth tech company, etc.).

• Minimum 2 years of experience working with debit cards and payments (SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments).

• Experience working with card schemes (Visa, Mastercard).

• Ability to solve complex problems independently.

• Deep empathy for customers and commitment to user-centred design without compromise.

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of influencing across functions.

• Data-driven mindset, able to turn insights into actionable improvements.

• Strong ownership mentality – proactive, accountable, and execution-focused approach.

Nice to have: • Experience building or scaling successful products - particularly financial or data-driven - using analytics, customer feedback, and pragmatic judgment.

• Experience with compliance regulations for card products (onboarding, notifications, restrictions).

• Experience with fraud monitoring for card transactions.
