What the employer wrote
We're hiring a Senior UI/UX Designer on a 5-month contract to join our R&D organization.
About the role
We're looking for a highly experienced UI/UX Designer to lead the redesign of our Salesforce application's front end and drive our transition to Lightning Web Components (LWC). This is a focused, high-impact engagement where you will own the full design process - from discovery through final specs. You'll work closely with our Salesforce engineers and product managers to deliver a modern, scalable UI that sets the foundation for the platform's next chapter and supports AI workflows.
What you are expected to deliver
• Own end-to-end UI/UX design for the Salesforce front-end redesign project
• Design intuitive UI components aligned with Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS)
• Lead UX design for our transition from legacy UI to Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Produce wireframes, prototypes, and design specs for engineering handoff using modern design tools like Figma, Loveable, etc.
• Collaborate with Salesforce engineers to ensure designs are feasible within LWC constraints
• Define design patterns, component libraries, and guidelines for the Salesforce UI
• Partner with product managers, engineering leads, QA, customer success team, and customers to gather design input and build product understanding
What we expect you to bring
• 5+ years of UI/UX design experience, with significant time on enterprise SaaS products
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design work and complex enterprise application design
• Ability to work closely with engineers and communicate design intent clearly in technical contexts
• Experience owning a design project end-to-end with minimal oversight
Nice to have
• Familiarity with Visualforce (to understand legacy context being redesigned)
• Experience working within managed packages or AppExchange products
• Experience designing specifically for Lightning Web Components (LWC)
• Proven hands-on experience designing Salesforce UIs, with deep familiarity with SLDS and Lightning Experience
• Salesforce UX Designer certification
We offer you
• A well-scoped, high-impact 5-month contract with clear ownership over a meaningful product initiative
• Collaboration with a skilled, experienced Salesforce engineering team
• Ability to shape the design direction and leave a lasting mark on a widely used enterprise platform
• Zero bureaucracy and a meetingless atmosphere
• Flexible remote engagement
