What the employer wrote

Purpose of Position

A great opportunity for a student or recent graduate to start a career in cyber security. You’ll join the Information Security GRC team to manage Awin’s phishing simulation programme, help keep our security awareness training on track, and get involved in wider GRC activities such as audits and controls – all while learning on the job from an experienced team.

What you'll be responsible for:

• Manage and run Awin’s phishing simulation tool, including scheduling simulated phishing campaigns, tracking results and reporting on outcomes.

• Respond to phishing emails reported by employees, helping to investigate and triage them.

• Help manage and maintain our security awareness training programme, making sure training is assigned, completed and tracked.

• Help create engaging security awareness materials, such as newsletters and internal communications, to promote good cyber security habits.

• Get involved in wider GRC-team activities, including supporting internal and external audits and helping maintain security controls.

• Support the team with third-party due diligence, helping assess Awin’s suppliers and partners.

• Build AI tools and integrations to support efficiency and optimisation of workflows.

Your skills:

• Currently studying, or recently graduated in, IT, Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field.

• Some exposure to IT, through study, personal projects or work experience.

• Good English skills, both verbal and written.

• A genuine curiosity about cyber security and motivation to develop your knowledge in the field.

• A logical and structured approach to problem-solving, with good attention to detail.

• You’re comfortable picking up new systems, tools, and processes and are enthusiastic about developing new skills.

• You can adjust to changing priorities and are comfortable working in a learning-focused environment.

• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams are essential.

• Any exposure to GRC or ticketing tools, such as Asana, would be a bonus but is not required.

• An interest in gaining certifications such as CompTIA Security+ is a bonus, not a requirement
