Merchandising Assistant

ROLE OVERVIEW

• The Merchandising team builds and executes global product strategies that put the right assortment in the right place at the right time — meeting customers' unmet needs, growing the brand, and delivering on long-term company goals. We stay close to marketplace dynamics and customer behavior to spot opportunities that maximize demand. The Merchandising Assistant owns accurate, timely data entry and maintenance across our merchandising systems and tools, in support of the team's assortment strategy and execution.

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support the creation and maintenance of seasonal line plan - creation of tool, data maintenance and updates throughout the season

• Support development of Bags assortment strategies across e-commerce, store, wholesale, and international channels; learn the fundamentals of line editing and build a point of view

• Maintain style attributes in line plan with the most current attribute definitions

• Monitor selling results and partner with channels to understand product and financial performance; help turn results into reports and actionable insights for merchandising team

• Track the competitive landscape and bring relevant product and pricing insights to merchandising team

• Maintain various merchandising tools and resources (roadmaps, competitive reports, product knowledge tools)

• Prepare content and materials for key go-to-market meetings, including deck preparation and assisting product teams with samples for key meetings

• Serve as a cross-functional liaison — partnering with Planning, Allocation, Design, Product Development, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Visual Merchandising, and keeping communication flowing across the org

• Provide day-to-day support to the Merchandising team

 

EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

• 1+ years of merchandising experience

• Proficient in Google Suite

• Strong analytical skills and understanding of retail math

• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships across teams

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Accurate, efficient data entry with a keen eye for detail

• Able to multitask and operate in a fast-paced environment

• Location: Offices are located in Carlsbad, CA

• Hybrid: Minimum 2-3 in office per week

Pay

• $70,000 - $75,000
