OVERVIEW

ALO is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Copywriter to join our dynamic and fast-paced marketing team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is eager to grow their writing skills in a collaborative, creative environment. The Junior Copywriter will support the team by assisting with copy across a variety of digital marketing channels—including paid media, product descriptions, email, and social content—while gaining exposure to brand storytelling, performance marketing, and content creation. This role requires excellent organization and time management skills, the ability to manage various projects and timelines, clear and collaborative communication skills, and a positive attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES   

• Write clear, engaging, and on-brand copy for digital marketing touchpoints including paid ads, emails, product descriptions, and social media. 

• Assist with note taking and documentation to help the copy team stay aligned on feedback 

• Support the creation of product copy across all ALO categories, maintaining consistency and tone of voice. 

• Contribute to SMS campaigns, seasonal launches, and evergreen brand messaging under the guidance of senior team members. 

• Brainstorm and write longform editorial content for digital and print. 

• Interpret creative direction from briefs into copy that converts. 

• Help proofread and edit copy to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand guidelines. 

• Be open to feedback and eager to improve writing skills through mentorship and collaboration. 

• Stay up to date with copy trends and generate new ideas to draw the audience's attention.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field 

• 0–2 years of copywriting experience or relevant work experience 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Passion for brand storytelling and crafting the perfect line 

• Works well in a collaborative environment 

• Multitasking, proofreading, time management, and organization skills

• Flexibility to switch focus between multiple projects

• Attention to detail and eagerness to learn

The base salary range for this position is $70,000-$75,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
