OVERVIEW

The ALO Associate Technical Designer position is the first step in employment within the technical design department. This is a training position allowing the individual to absorb responsibilities and duties by assisting the technical design team. This candidate will attend new style fittings, assist with racking duties, note taking, learning the details of technical assignments while working through crucial deadlines, enhancing communication between areas of tech design as well as supporting senior technical advisors and senior technical designers. This position also gives our newest staff excellent visibility with the product itself. The alo Associate Technical Designer will have many touches with new designs, processing them throughout their various development lifespans.

• Create Garment Construction Pages

• Comprehends Sewing Economics

• Assemble Assets in Adobe Illustrator

• Knows Tools in Adobe Illustrator

• Assist In Fittings

• Attend Weekly Touch Base Meetings

• Attending BOM scrubs

• PLM Data Entry and Data Pulls

• Organizes Racks and Samples

• Refresh Fit Rooms

• Training to Asst Senior Technical Designers

QUALIFICATIONS:

A good sense of CPU applications and similar experience with UI’s like:  PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Outlook, CLO is a bonus, & other. Can type quickly, can make decisions, has conviction, has a personal view on product creation, and has a deep interest in fashion design, construction, and garment assembly . Knowing instinctively how to organize is key for this job.

An undergraduate degree in fashion or other degree, can juggle multiple tasks, has experience with sewing and garment patterns, has excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

The base salary range for this position is $71,000-$80,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits .
